The Brief
HLM Magazine, a luxury lifestyle publication featuring international brands and personalities, wanted a refreshed identity and layout that felt vibrant, elegant, and timeless. They needed their editorial design, media kit, and brand collateral to reflect the sophistication of the magazine while still feeling immersive and lively.
The Approach
We set out to reimagine HLM’s look and feel, beginning with the editorial spreads. Our goal was to create layouts that captured the energy of luxury living while maintaining clarity and refinement. From typography and spacing to imagery and pacing, every detail was designed to make the reading experience fluid and engaging.
For the 2018 Media Kit, we introduced a refreshed logo, streamlined visual hierarchy, and a layout system that highlighted the magazine’s prestige while being accessible and modern. We extended the identity into stationery, digital assets, and an interactive iPad kit, ensuring cohesion across every touchpoint.

As part of the design exploration phase, we developed a modern, editorial-inspired website layout that showcased how the magazine’s brand identity could seamlessly extend into a digital experience.
Echoing the luxury and sophistication of HLM’s print identity. Key sections were structured to highlight feature articles, spotlight brand partnerships, and create an immersive flow between lifestyle content and advertising.
The Outcome
The new identity elevated HLM’s brand presence, making the magazine feel both vibrant and timeless. The redesign gave the publication a cohesive visual voice that resonated with readers, advertisers, and brand partners.
