Yon is a Vancouver-based Art Director looking to impact and spike controversy in his works. He’s a vibrant creative continuously seeking to improve personally and professionally.
The long of it
Lightweight introvert, pancake fanatic & mango aficionado. YON enjoys having meaningful conversations with strangers and finds himself not liking having to talk in the third person. Instead, he would rather spend some time with you and create a memorable experience.
He studied Graphic Design at The Art Institute of Vancouver and has collaborated with companies to heighten their marketplace presence by addressing their creative challenges with custom-built design solutions. Currently, he’s concentrating on his love for street art and design embarking on a new journey called Panda Studios.
His main goal is to produce visually striking graphics, and his favourite things to make are clothing garments and large format prints. Presently he’s developing Mixed-Media and specialty print artworks, moving forward he would love to incorporate stencils, motion and 3D into his creations.
Besides using art as a medium of self-expression, what he loves the most about art is the opportunity it brings to establish a personal connection with the viewer. His main source of inspiration comes from urban art, although music, motion graphics, movies, graphic design, projections, audiovisuals and photography play an important role in his creative process.
Born and raised in a “small town” called Mexico City, AKA “La Gran Tenochtitlan” he is indeed a city boy with a punch. Even so, he’s easy-going and funny he’d rather stay behind the scenes, let’s say he’s not the public figure type. Nevertheless, he’s not shy at all!
